* Tamarindo Beach

After arrival in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, meet your fellow travelers and 360° staff during our orientation. Tamarindo is best known for it's laid back atmosphere and perfect waves. As you will see, this is a surfing mecca.

Chill at the beach, grab a boogie board, or learn to ride the waves during our optional surf lessons*. Other activities available include SCUBA diving, deep sea fishing, or ATV riding on the beach*. You can also sleep in, go for a run, work out, or shop the local boutiques, the choice is yours.

One afternoon, we're off together on a catamaran sailing adventure! Our catamaran will take us to one of the best snorkeling areas on the Pacific coast. Be prepared to see exotic fish and amazing sea life.
In the evenings, parents can enjoy a night out alone or with their new friends to a wonderful local restaurant. For everyone else, we've got all the fun covered. On several nights, we will feature a special kids and teens dinner out at a local restaurant*. Sorry parents, you're not invited to these!

* Rincón de la Vieja

After Tamarindo, we're off to the volcanic region known as Rincon de la Vieja. The resort features mineral mud baths, hot spring pools, natural thermal steam room, horse stable, Anahuac Spa, restaurants and more.

Get ready for adventure! Included in your stay at the Borinquen Mountain Resort & Spa are the following activities:

- The Mystery Waterfall Hike

Enjoy an exciting ride up the mountain and through the plains with beautiful views of Guanacaste's pacific coast. Take an invigorating hike and arrive at a Mystery Waterfall (approximately 50 meters high) and you will be able to discover its secrets. Then hike on over to the hidden waterfall.

- The Zip Line Canopy Tour

Do you have what it takes to fly over the tree tops, zipping across the canyon in front of breathtaking waterfalls? This is one of the most exciting and breathtaking experiences around. The height over the jungle canopy and canyon along with the exciting speed of the zip lines will not disappoint. The tour consists of 13 platforms with incredible views all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

- Rio Negro Tubing Adventure

At the base of La Victoria Waterfall, receive a short safety briefing. Then everyone gets his or her own personal round raft for an adrenalin pumping rafting ride through the white water rapids in the Rio Negro. Minimum age 10 years old. Children between the ages of 6 and 9 can river tube with a private guide for an additional $20.

- Horseback Riding

Enjoy an exciting ride up through mountain trails while traversing the calm waters of volcanic mountain streams. On any of these excursions, always be on the lookout for wildlife as you may spot white-faced monkeys, keel-billed toucans, and hummingbirds!
Optional ATVing is available*.

Spend the morning, afternoon, or all day at the pool, hot springs, mud baths, or at the Anahuac Spa.
Join one of our educational lunch programs to learn about the history and interesting facts about the local volcanoes, the three species of monkeys and other animals in Rincón de la Vieja, and the flora and fauna of the Borinquen Mountain Resort.

* New Years Celebration

Our New Year's Eve extravaganza will not disappoint. We will ring in 2011 with music, party favors, and a scrumptious meal. It's a guaranteed all around great time for the entire family.

360 Student Travel's Mission Statement

360 Student Travel will allow you the opportunity to step in a new direction. Travel, volunteer, or improve your foreign language skills we are here to help you take that new step by helping you keep your other foot planted. Regardless of travel style, all programs are created with the understanding that no matter what you want to accomplish during the summer, it is still summer, and the challenges and experiences should be enjoyable as well as rewarding. On our Community Service Program you'll be making the world a better place and discovering the world at the same time - ziplining in Costa Rica, exploring a glacier in Alaska, or marveling at the "Big 5" in Africa. If you're open-minded and interested in achieving goals, volunteering, and helping others, then this will be a meaningful and adventurous summer for you. If you're thinking of studying Spanish or French and want the excitment of travel join us in either Spain, Costa Rica or France. On most of these language programs, we study at multiple locations within a country so you experience its full diversity. On our Pre-College Enrichment program get a sneak peek at college life while being immersed in the culture and excitement of Barcelona. We have teamed up with the renowned International House School, centrally located just steps from Plaza Cataluna, to bring you exciting courses from Creative Writing and International Business to Spanish Language, and SAT prep with Princeton Review. Join us on our Global Adventures if adventures are for you. We offer the most unique variety of activities imaginable that encourage individual growth and character.
