Description
Located in Salta (far north of Argentina), this organization was founded with the purpose of assisting impoverished mothers who had no one to care for their children while they worked all day. This centre, gave them a safe place to leave their children during the work day. Mothers are assured their children will be given a nutritious meal and a snack each day.
There are 50 young children and adolescents who attend this centre on a daily basis. Ages range from 2 to 17 years old. They participate in activities such as tending a garden where the children learn to plant and care for the plants. The children also learn to raise rabbits, and chickens for eggs. Each day they are assisted with their school work and are able to participate in all types of different workshops.
