Description
Your Ecuador gap year volunteer programme offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to work and make a difference in some of the most striking and unforgettable locations on the planet. Nowhere else in South America can you do and see so much in such a short amount of time. Every South America gap year programme includes time in the Andes and Amazon as well as the chance to learn (or brush up on your) Spanish. If you stay with us for longer than a month, you will also get the chance to work on the stunning Pacific coast. Our main camp is based in tropical cloud forest and all our locations offer you the perfect mix of community, wildlife, environment, culture and adventure, all within a day's drive of the capital. There are unlimited optional activities for the adventurous, from trekking through volcanic foothills, exploring the Amazon by canoe to surfing the waves, or scuba diving.

A camps International volunteer is an open minded person who likes to work as part of a team. The typical volunteer will have researched our products well and understand that volunteering with camps is a different experience to other companies. As part of any of our programs volunteers will be immersed into local culture and be ready to take part in a huge variety of projects. The volunteer must be very hands on and willing to work hard both physically and mentally. There is plenty of time for relaxing at weekends and during the evenings there must be a willingness to take part in cultural activities and experiment with new ideas and foods.Age Range
