Description
Big Fiji Explorer is one of our most popular adventures. It has enough action to keep seasoned explorers' adrenaline flowing, and it is also a great introduction to travel for students who are venturing abroad for the first time. Come discover the welcoming nation of Fiji and its hundreds of beautiful islands. You will zip line, hike, snorkel, kayak, and sail your way through this paradise in two amazing, fun-filled weeks.
South Pacific Adventure
While in islands, you'll visit some of the country's most famous sites and travel to places few tourists have the chance to explore. Swim beneath towering waterfalls hidden deep in the interior of Viti Levu and visit the island Tom Hanks made famous in Castaway during a two-night cruise aboard a chartered yacht. Enjoy Fiji's untamed natural landscape as you zip line through unspoiled forests at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour and kayak in pristine coastal wilderness.
At Home on the "Mainland"
Fiji's main island, Viti Levu is the perfect place to soak up the friendly Fijian culture and take in your spectacular new summer home. Visit remote villages that are far off the tourist track, explore historic sites, and stop at beautiful tropical resorts. In the capital city of Suva, you'll master the art of bargaining in the local markets and visit the National Museum to learn more about Fijian culture, history and traditions.
Big Fiji Style
While you're here, you'll stay at tropical resorts, sleep aboard a catamaran, and for a few blissful nights live the Fijian way in traditional bures (or huts) deep in the mountains and on a pristine white-sand beach. Pass these evenings hanging out at bonfires and let the gentle lapping of the ocean waves or the hum of the forest lull you to sleep.
Learn water-rugby (Rustic style!), join in traditional Fijian dances, and play games with local children. Get in touch with local life as you join villagers in traditional ceremonies and explore local markets packed with handmade Fijian crafts. You'll never want to leave this idyllic paradise and its laid-back way of life.
Open Your Heart, Change Your Life
The Fijian people find their way into visitors' hearts with their naturally welcoming and carefree nature, making these beautiful islands hard to leave and impossible to forget. This is one of our most popular and energetic programs because it wraps the very best of Fiji into two memorable weeks of adventure, learning, culture, touring, and FUN. All ages are welcome on this nonstop adventure. Come have the time of your life and experience a piece of paradise! You can also combine this program with any of our other programs in Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia.
