Description

Staying at a typical Uruguayan Ranch (estancia) is a very good way to explore the Uruguayan countryside, and just can be as relaxing or adventurous. You can really immerse yourself in the language and customs of the warm and welcoming people.

It is certainly an unusual way to spend your time abroad, but this is exactly why this program is to unique! Your stay will be off the beaten path, progressive, and somewhere you have never been before.

The Ranch is located in a very beautiful setting and offers outdoor activities like horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, and fishing. Tourists from all over the world visit the Ranch to enjoy the peace and quiet.

The workdays in the country are long, but fortunately there are a variety of jobs to do which keep things interesting.

Qualifications

Watch our horse fans!

The candidate should have previous experience with horses. The position consists in working side by side with a typical Uruguayan Gaucho (kind of cowboy). You will help taking care of the horses and train them for endurance competitions. Furthermore, you will help breaking in young horses.
