Description

While you're doing a voluntary job we offer you the chance to learn something different, to take home a souvenir you've made yourself and to have the experience of doing something new.

We are the ones to give you something different during your visit to Peru.

Initially, our school will situated in Huancayo, but from 2011 we'll be in Cusco, very near the World Heritage site of Machu Picchu. I feel as if the spirits of my ancestors are calling on their great masters to bring us together in the capital of the Inca Empire. If you're in Cusco don't forget to visit us, if only to see what we're talking about.

Weaving is a large part of my life and I am very happy to do this work. Additionally, I find as much time as I can to teach my craft, and I set myself the challenge to be the best teacher I can. I want my students to learn quickly but thoroughly and to experience the enjoyment and relaxation that can be derived from weaving. Weaving should not be frustrating, and is in fact fulfilling for the soul, taking you on a journey of peace and tranquility.

My great challenge and deepest desire is that this cultural weaving course should be an unforgettable experience for all my students. I would like this knowledge, that I have accumulated over days and months and years to be taught and shared like a therapy for the mind, body and soul.

Highlights

The guarantee of our work is our 40 years experience: two master craftsmen, well known for their skill in the world of Peruvian craftwork will be responsible for guiding you through this world of weaving. Both are great masters in weaving and Tino has the award of Amauta for 2001.
